New Kayak Review! Old Town Sportsman AutoPilot 136!

This kayak just won “Best Of Show” At ICAST 2020, let’s look at why! When we heard the Sportsman Autopilot 136 had an Ultrex trolling motor and could “spot lock” to hold position so we didn’t have to paddle the kayak constantly, we knew we had to have it! Come along as Tim takes it for a spin on the water, looks at the features, and shows how to operate the motor.

This is a top of the line kayak! Its incredibly stable, has room to stand, walk, and enough stability to fish from virtually any position. We’ve had it out in big waves, heavy winds, and have had the opportunity to catch some great big bass from these boats. If you’re upgrading to a larger kayak or considering adding a trolling motor to an existing kayak, you should give this a look.

The 13’6″ version (136) retails for $3999 while the smaller 12′ version (120) retails for $3799. This is a serious investment for an entry level kayaker but is a no brainer for a bass angler coming down from a bass boat. As bass boat angler’s we’ve already fallen in love with the spot lock feature of the Ultrex trolling motor and know there is no going back. Having this same feature in a kayak gives us the ability to go farther, stay more stable in rough water, and most importantly, focus on the fishing instead of the positioning.

Sight Casting For GIANT Smallmouth Bass In The Clearest Water You've Ever Seen!

We’ve found water so clear you can see giant bass swimming 50 yards away! We’re sight casting to them like they’re snook on a saltwater flat and its working!!! Come along as Matt and CC stalk big fish with ultralight tackle in the Great Lakes and catch a monster bag the first day! Don’t let clear water and big fish intimidate you, Matt is about to show you everything you need to know to consistently catch these fish!

If you’ve ever been faced with fish in crystal clear water you know they can be very finicky. Knowing how to adapt your gear and lead the fish so they don’t spook is critical. Once you’ve established how much lead you need to put your bait in their line of sight without spooking them, its clock work. Today we did our best work with a tube and a dark sleeper. The fish ambushing around rocks would crush the dark sleeper but fish on the open flats would only eat a tube worked with tiny pops of the rod tip.

The next time you’re faced with clear water conditions, don’t be afraid to try and catch those bass! Use long leaders, make long casts, and don’t be afraid to search for fish where no one else is willing to go. Below is a breakdown of the baits (including exact colors, weights, etc) and the gear we were using to throw them. Across The United Kingdom – Speedy Solutions For Humminbird Fish Finder

Today I sat and viewed the finches and chickadees at the feeder. I listened to the waves as they lapped the shore, the hummingbird as it buzzed at the feeder, the crow as it known as from the rubbish pit. Noticed the leaves shimmer, twist and turn as they rustled in the breeze. I smelled the geraniums, the new cut grass, and the pine pitch of the logs as they baked in the sun.
