Underspin Tricks You've Never Tried That Catch More Bass!

Underspins are a great way to catch bass in the Fall. They add flash and vibration to your favorite swimbait and help it stand out amongst a crowd of baitfish. Whether you’re throwing a big swimbait in search of a giant bass or a tiny finesse swimbait just looking for a bite, rigging it on an underspin can make a huge difference!

Tim has a handful of underspins that he relies on to consistently catch fish. Whether he’s throwing a 2.8 keitech on a spinning rod, or a larger swimbait deep in the grass, there is a perfect hook for every application. When the fish are short striking or targeting the blade, he’s got a trick to add a stinger hook to the blade to hook those finicky bass as well! If you’re not throwing an underpin this Fall, you’re missing a great opportunity to load the boat with quality fish.

Shallow water bass are EASY to catch if you know what to do! Whether you’re on a pond or a giant lake, some very big bass move shallow in the post spawn and we can help you catch them. Some lakes have an incredible shad spawn that you don’t want to miss, others just have fish ambushing bluegill. Today we’re covering the best techniques to target all of these fish!

Pond and bank fishermen can really simplify their fishing this time of year. You can narrow down your arsenal to two baits that will maximize your time on the water. Get up early and hit the water with a fluke and a weedless underspin, you’ll be amazed by the results.

Anglers on larger lakes should focus their attention on the shad spawn. Its critical that you be on the water at or before first light, armed with key baits that these fish are susceptible to. It doesn’t matter where you live, if there are shad in your lake these techniques will work!

Where Do Bass Go After They Spawn? (And How To Catch Them During The Spring To Summer Transition)

Matt breaks fisheries down into 4 categories and explains exactly what is happening and what will happen next in all 4 fisheries. He then goes on to explain his favorite baits for each scenario and how to use them effectively. Fisheries around the country can be broken down into Highland Reservoirs, Lowland Reservoirs, Streams/Rivers (includes tidal fisheries), and Natural Lakes (includes ponds).
