The New Year is here and we’re getting back on the road! 2020 was crazy for all of us. Some lost loved ones, others lost jobs, some found human kindness where it was least expected, and a few stuck some big fish in the midst of the chaos. What does 2021 hold for TacticalBassin? Let’s find out!

We’re getting back out on the road in 2021. Living in a new part of the country, we’ve got all kinds of new goals. From big bass, to big striper and musky, the options are almost endless. We have plans to fish across the South, put more time into Florida, and even fish our way up the Eastern seaboard. If we’ve never been to a lake near you before, you just might see us this year!

What are your goals for 2021? The key to consistent success is goal setting. Plan for success, follow through, and you will find success. Maybe you want to catch a new personal best? Fishing 3 States In 3 Days! Awesome Fall Bass Fishing Road Trip!

Come along as we explore new lakes in new states! We’re throwing everything from crankbaits and swimbaits, to jigs and dropshot, to catch a pile of fish! We stick great big Smallmouth, beautiful Spotted Bass, and a few Largemouth too! Watch as we dissect 3 very different fisheries in 3 days and build patterns that produce consistent bites each day.

Whether you’re driving across state lines or fishing right in your back yard, you can use this information to break down the lakes and ponds around you. Bass are feeding heavily before Winter and you can catch some really nice fish if you target them strategically instead of just going down the bank. Watch as we adapt to different conditions on different lakes, switch between lure styles at different times of day, and always keep an eye peeled for busting fish on the surface in the Fall!

What Gear Do We Really Use? Take A Look! (Cross Country Road Trip)

Ever wonder what we’ve really got in the boat? What lures are we actually carrying below deck? Which Covid slowing down we decided to drive all the way across the country to fish and spend time with family. We loaded the boats with everything we thought we’d need (tools, gear, and a variety of tackle) and set out on a national road trip with the families. Today Tim is opening up all the lockers and showing you what gear really made the cut. Which baits and what gear did he consider “must haves” for fishing in multiple states.

Its hard enough to choose what to throw first when you go out on the lake. Try to imagine packing to fish dozens of lakes you’ve never seen before. Even harder, some are in the South (Summer heat) and others are up North (clear water and prespawn). As overwhelming as that may be, we’ve done it a few times now and are very confident in our gear selection. We wanted to share with you what made the cut and what didn’t.

We can make countless videos about specific baits and techniques but there is something about taking a look under the locker lids for yourself that is very satisfying. Now how can you apply this to your fishing? The gear that we carry cross country can be downsized into just a box or two for fishing on your local lake. Where we might carry a box of spinnerbaits, a box of lipless, a box of deep cranks, you can turn around and build a box with a spinnerbait, a chatterbait, a lipless, a small glide bait, etc… and on a smaller scale you’re now prepared for any situation you can face on the water.
