In the Fall and Winter the vast majority of big bass school in deeper water. Many lures can’t reach these depths effectively. Amongst those that can, the spoon is the easiest to fish and arguably the most consistent producer. Once you know how to adapt the baits and retrieves to changing conditions, you’ll be able to consistently spoon for bass throughout the cold water months.
