**Crazy Underwater Footage** Big Bass Attacking Bluegill Lures!

Come underwater and watch these bass attacking bluegill! We’re using a variety of bluegill imitating swimbaits and plastic worms to elicit reaction strikes. Early Spring signals the start of the war between bass and bluegill, let us show you how to take advantage of it and catch more bass in today’s underwater video!

Once bass turn their attention to the shallows, bluegill become an immediate threat. Instinctively, bass begin to erratic them from their shallow haunts. Knowing this, we can stay one step ahead of the bass. By imitating bluegill we are able to draw on the bass’ natural aggression and ultimately catch more fish.

Where Do Bass Go In EARLY Spring? And How To Catch Them Before The PreSpawn!

The Fish are on the move! If your fish haven’t already begun to transition, its coming! If you’re not ready they’ll vanish completely and tracking them down again before the spawn is almost impossible without an understanding of their migration. Where are they headed, where will they stop along the way, and how can you catch them when they do? Come along, and we’ll show you.

Different styles of fisheries progress differently. You need to figure out if you are fishing a river, a Delta, a natural lake, a highland reservoir, or a lowland reservoir. Depending which style you’re on, the movements will vary. Luckily, we’re explaining the movement in each one of these fisheries today. As your fish begin to move, you need to understand their ultimate goal is transition toward spawning flats. With that in mind you can identify the nearest spawning grounds to where your fish have been, then identify the key spots along the way the fish will stop on to feed.

As you’re focusing on fishing the key structures along the migration route there are key baits you should be focusing your time on. Top 5 Baits For Late Winter Bass Fishing!

Its still cold but the fish are getting aggressive! Late Winter is a special time full of big bass and exciting days on the water if you know how to adapt. Sure, you can stick to the same Winter baits you’ve been throwing these past months, but you’re not doing yourself any favors. Its time to adapt, let us show you how.

A lot of anglers get confused about the transitions between late Winter and the prespawn. We’re definitely not in the prespawn yet, water temps are cold (mid-40’s in most of the country and even colder farther North) but the fish can sense the change coming and are beginning to get active despite the cold temperatures. This is the time to set the finesse rods down, pick up the reaction baits, and catch the biggest bass of the year.

New Boat For 2021!! Aluminum Jet Boat!

Let’s go exploring! This aluminum boat has been Matt’s dream for 3 years! While fast bass boats and advanced technologies are important parts of bass fishing, there is something to be said for a basic aluminum that can run in skinny water, away from the crowds. Come along as Matt shows his new (used) aluminum boat and talks about where TacticalBassin is headed in 2021!

The boat is a War Eagle 1754 With a Yamaha 4 Stroke 70 HP motor. Its going to allow Matt and Tim to explore backwaters, ponds, rivers, and creeks, that could never be explored with the bass boat or even the kayak. They will be able to venture into new areas, reach untouched fish (hopefully) and take you along on all kinds of adventures! Matt is keeping the boat very simple. He’s installing a depth finder and a trolling motor so the guys can fish comfortably, but that will be the extent of the technology.

When its time for advanced videos, the guys will be in their bass boats. When its time to just go fishing and have a good time, they’ll be in the aluminum, and when its time to pick apart places that can’t be reached by either one, they’ll be in the kayaks.

How To Catch Bass In Cold Water Without Slowing Down!

Winter fishing doesn’t have to be boring! So many anglers have fallen into the trap of slow, methodical fishing in the Winter. Did you know you can trigger a feed response by speeding up? Its true! Matt explains the keys to getting consistent bites in the coldest Winter temperatures without ever slowing down.

The key to consistent Winter bites with reaction baits is understanding what it takes to “trigger” a feed response. Its also key to understand all baits are not created equal. Cold water separates the perfectly balanced, perfectly tuned baits, from the endless stream of new tackle hitting the market every year. If you want to be consistent in Winter, fish the right baits with proper technique and its only a matter of time before you start catching quality fish.

There are 3 very different approaches to Winter. You can swimbait for a giant, finesse fish for consistent action, or power fish with bite triggering retrieves to try and find the best of both worlds. Whichever path you choose, Winter fishing is worse the effort. Its incredibly peaceful, there is minimal boat traffic, and the odds of catching a big bass are very high.

The New Year is here and we’re getting back on the road! 2020 was crazy for all of us. Some lost loved ones, others lost jobs, some found human kindness where it was least expected, and a few stuck some big fish in the midst of the chaos. What does 2021 hold for TacticalBassin? Let’s find out!

We’re getting back out on the road in 2021. Living in a new part of the country, we’ve got all kinds of new goals. From big bass, to big striper and musky, the options are almost endless. We have plans to fish across the South, put more time into Florida, and even fish our way up the Eastern seaboard. If we’ve never been to a lake near you before, you just might see us this year!

What are your goals for 2021? The key to consistent success is goal setting. Plan for success, follow through, and you will find success. Maybe you want to catch a new personal best? Creature baits are not all created equal! In today’s buyer’s guide we’re simplifying creatures and craws by narrowing it down to 8 baits for different situations. Each of these baits will help you catch more fish throughout the year! Whether you’re punching mats, flipping, throwing a wobble head, or working a jig, there is a creature here that you can rely on.

These 8 baits all have very unique applications. One is best on wobble head, another is a bait we exclusively punch with, and yet another is the bait we turn to early in the year.
