Amazing Underwater Footage!! Crazy Bass Strikes on Creature Baits!!

Let’s head underwater and watch how bass react to some of our favorite baits! In today’s underwater video we’ve Texas-Rigged some of the most popular creature baits on the market and are presenting them to largemouth and smallmouth bass. Do you ever wonder what your baits look like underwater? Have you wondered what movements get the most bites? Come underwater with us and find out!

We focused on 5 key creature baits. These baits have proven themselves over and over, all filling different niches in our fishing. Pay attention to the subtle details between them as you decide which might be the best for your fishing needs. A couple immediate standouts include Big Bite’s ability to float vertically above the grass and the Keitech’s incredible swim at slow speeds. If you look closely you’ll notice subtle details in each offering.

Below is a breakdown of all the baits in the video. We included the terminal tackle used as well as rods and reels we recommend for this technique. The Texas Rig is an incredibly effective way to catch bass throughout the year and should be added to your arsenal if you’re not already putting it to work.

Spring Bass Fishing Gear Review – Top New Baits and Rods For 2020!

A TON of awesome new baits and gear have already hit the market this Spring! Between the Bassmaster Classic and the start of prime fishing season across the south, the influx of new offerings is crazy! Today we’re wading through the new gear in search of the best of the best. We’ve tried a huge variety of baits and gear and compiled a short list of items that are worth taking a serious look at.

Today’s video is focused around baits and equipment that will have a tangible impact on your fishing. From the Hog Farmer Flex Rigs and their ability to draw drastically more strikes than stiffer rigs, to the Quiver worm’s ability to shake and shimmy unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, every item in today’s video has the ability to help you catch more fish. When it comes to rods, we looked at both ends of the spectrum.

Crankbait rods are one of the most difficult selections an angler can make because different sizes and styles of crankbaits require such different equipment to maximize their potential. The Intenza comes in at a budget-friendly price and is probably the most adaptable crankbait rod we’ve used to date. On the higher end of the gear spectrum, both the St. Croix and the Poison Adrena bring incredible sensitivity within reach, and the Twin Power delivers ultra high-end performance at a reduced price.

Below you’ll find a breakdown of all the equipment from today’s video in the order they appeared. We’ve included links that go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see the products in detail. For the baits, we’ve even included color recommendations and rigging advice. We hope you find this gear review helpful!

Did He Catch A 10 lb Bass?? Spring Crankbait Bass Fishing!!!

Matt caught a monster bass on a crankbait! Crankbaits are a great way to cover water and catch bass in Spring. If you know how to adapt them to changing conditions they’re an excellent way to specifically target GIANT bass. Come along as Matt shows cast to catch footage of this big Clearlake bass then explains exactly why he caught it and how you can do the same.

We began teaching how to use the Tactical DD Crankbait to specifically target big bass back in November. Since that time a TON of big fish have been landed across the country. Not all crankbaits are created equal in cold water but once you understand the differences and how to apply baits with key vibrations to your fishing, your catch rate on bigger bass will increase.

Landing giant bass on light line isn’t just about choosing the right bait, you’ll also need the right equipment and a very patient approach to successfully battle a big fish on light tackle. Take your time, stay calm, and your new personal best could be just a cast away. Below is a breakdown of all the gear we used in the video along with some additional baits and gear that we recommend for cold water and prespawn crankbait fishing.

Keep in mind that many of the Tactical Crankbait colors are currently sold out. It will be a bit longer before all the colors are back in stock so you may want to try some of the colors currently in stock or backorder a specific color so you’re in the front of the line once they’re back in stock.

How Fish React To Different Jigs!!! Underwater Bite Footage!!

The strikes are violent! We headed underwater with a variety of jigs to see how different bass would react. Largemouth and Smallmouth both aggressively attack a jig with tenacity rarely seen with other lures. Depending on how you rig it, a jig can imitate a crawdad, a bluegill, or a variety of other prey species. Watch how these different fish attack everything from a large pitchin’ jig down to the smallest of finesse football jigs.
Do you fish a jig? Some anglers love them, others struggle to find consistent success. After watching how these fish react, its clear that a jig should have a permanent place in your arsenal! Two keys to a jig’s effectiveness are its adaptability and its weedless characteristics. With a handful of different head designs a jig can be adapted virtually any circumstance.
Pay close attention to which jigs and trailers these fish were most aggressive with. Also pay attention to which retrieves/hops triggered the most aggressive bites. Below is a breakdown of all the baits and trailers used in the video (In order of appearance), along with color recommendations for each. The links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see close up photos of each item.

Awesome Bank Fishing With 3 Tips To Catch More Bass While Pond Fishing

Tim got access to an awesome pond! He’s walking the shore with son JD and friend Caleb and they’re catching nice bass! Come along for really good fishing with a glide bait, small swimbait, senko, and more. Fishing from shore allows you to fish unique angles that boats can’t reach. Tim has a few tips that will make it even easier the next time you’re on the bank.

Tim starts off fishing with an S-Waver. The idea being that glide baits have incredible drawing power, pulling fish up from great distances. Best case scenario, you’ll catch a giant, but even if you don’t you’re likely to see what is lurking in the depths as they come up to examine the bait. Tim’s next trick is to focus on smaller swimbaits in bluegill and panfish colors.

While every pond’s ecosystem is different, almost all of them contain panfish. You simply can’t go wrong with a bluegill imitator. You may find that white or flashy colors will work but unlike most large bodies of water, its always smart to start with bluegill imitators rather than shad imitators. When Tim switches to the senko he shares his 3rd trick for maximizing his time on the water.
When shore fishing its often important to make long casts to maximize your fishing area. At the end of a long cast it can be really difficult to detect bites, especially with weightless presentations. Tim recommends switching your finesse rod to “high visibility” (Neon) line so that you can see the bites instead of feeling them.

Pond fishing is often overlooked and with the current shelter in place around the country, its more likely than ever that you’re pond hopping to catch a bass. Use these tips the next time you do and you’ll be surprised by the results. Below is a breakdown of all the baits (in order of appearance) as well as Tim’s top 3 Pond Fishing/Bank Fishing combos.

Tim Flips His Kayak In COLD Water!! Spring Bass Fishing FAIL!

Tim paddled out into Clearlake in search of big bass. He got more than he bargained for! He started out catching a few fish on a post-front afternoon with a light chop but it changed in a second when a boat wake caught him from behind. Thankfully he was wearing his life jacket but his gear wasn’t so lucky!

Despite the cold swim, the video starts with some Spring fishing tips as Tim works his way along the bank. He switches between a lipless crankbait, a worm, and a small underspin swimbait in search of bass on what proves to be a very tough afternoon. Not knowing what was to come he catches a nice bass, followed by a crappie. The most important bit of information you can glean from this video is to always wear your life jacket!!

We’ve been guilty of taking our life jackets off from time to time, just like everyone else. This is a serious reminder of how quickly the situation can change! Tim never saw the wave coming and in a blink he was in the water. Temperatures were in the 50’s and he was no where near shore when it happened. If not for a passing boater the situation could have been much more dangerous. In the end, Tim lost 4 rod and reel combos, a new IPhone, two GoPro 8’s, and a lot of tackle. Oops!

Below are links to some of our more successful kayak outings, including Matt catching a 10 lber from the yak! We also included links to the baits Tim was throwing prior to flipping the kayak, and links to the exact inflatable life jackets that we wear on the boat because they’re incredible comfortable and low profile.

Spring Swimbait Bite Is On! Big Bass Attacking Glide Baits!

We found the bass! No light rods today, its all swimbaits and heavy tackle! We knew going in that we’d probably catch a bunch of fish on the big bait so instead of throwing our favorite glide bait (S-Waver 200) we decided to mix it up and find out what else they would eat. Let’s see if these bass will eat a Baitsanity Explorer, Storm Arashi Glide, or G Ratt Sneaky Pete. (Spoiler Alert: THEY DO!) Spring swimbait fishing with glide baits can be incredible, let us show you how to be successful as we catch some nice Clearlake bass.

Glide Baits have a remarkable ability to trigger a feed response in bass. Learning how to use them to your advantage can change your Spring fishing. These baits naturally draw larger than average bass due to their size (drawing power) but if you don’t know what to do when those fish appear, it can be incredibly frustrating! Pay close attention to the guy’s hands as they twitch and work the baits to trigger a feed response and convert these bass from casual followers to aggressive biters.

We’re all struggling to adapt during these difficult times. The virus is causing lake closures, fishing bans, and a whole range of difficult circumstances for anglers. If you’re still able to get out on the water and want to maximize your limited time with a shot at a giant bass, the glide bait could be your best bet for success.

Below is a breakdown of the baits, equipment, and component upgrades the guys used to find success today. Stock hardware on most of these baits is severely lacking, you absolutely want to upgrade both the hooks and split rings to avoid bend outs when you hook the fish of a lifetime.

Spring Underspin Tricks For Bass With Bonus Slab Crappie Catches!

Do you know how to adapt your underspin to changing conditions? Underspins catch big bass but when you should you throw a large offering instead of a tiny finesse underspin? When is a keitech better than the others? Come along for a full day on Clearlake as we read the water, adapt to changing conditions, and switch between a variety of underspins and swimbaits to build a pattern. As a bonus, we find ourselves in the middle of GIANT slab crappie that aren’t afraid to eat big underspins!

There’s no way around it, we took a left when we should have taken a right and it took us down an interesting path of big waves and bigger panfish. Today leaves little doubt that virtually everything that swims will eat an underspin with a swimbait trailer! Many anglers go to the lake and simply fish but a select few anglers, many of which are members of the TacticalBassin Family, spend their time on the water absorbing information, adapting to changing conditions, and constantly building patterns. These method of building patterns and adapting to change will make you an incredibly consistent angler. But once in a while… you take a left when you should have taken a right.

Below is a breakdown of all the baits discussed in the video. The links for each product go directly to Tackle Warehouse (who is still shipping orders during the pandemic) where you can see up close photos and detailed descriptions.
